Osceola Library System is seeking an Outreach Specialist to develop and execute library and literacy services through off-site programs and the Outreach Van. The role emphasizes community engagement, program planning, data collection, and promoting library resources in Osceola County.

A customer-friendly, tech-savvy communicator is essential to expand access and literacy within the diverse community we serve.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or high school diploma with 2 years related experience.
• Experience in learning or creative environments.
• Experience engaging with varied age groups and learning styles.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Strong organization and project management skills.
• Background check completed.
• Valid Florida Driver’s License and clean driving record.
• Bilingual English/Spanish desirable.

Responsabilités

• Operate the Outreach Van and transport to sites across Osceola County.
• Plan, develop, and implement outreach and off-site programs.
• Tailor programs to meet diverse community needs.
• Engage patrons of all ages, providing cards, information, and instruction.
• Represent the Osceola Library System at community events.
• Build relationships with schools and community organizations.
• Coordinate day-to-day van operations with the Outreach Services Manager.
• Collect attendance data and report service utilization.
• Maintain van resources and schedule maintenance.
• Capture photos/videos for marketing per guidelines.
