Job summary

UG2 LLC in Framingham, MA is seeking a Licensed Mobile HVAC Technician to maintain, repair, and install HVAC systems, ductwork, and related controls in a busy facility. The role emphasizes troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and safe operation of building systems to ensure comfort and safety for occupants.

You will work a first shift, servicing large tonnage equipment, pumps, VAV boxes, and energy management controls, while coordinating with property management and contractors.

Qualifications

• Active HVAC license required.
• Minimum five years of HVAC mechanic experience in commercial/industrial facilities.
• Familiarity with HVAC and electrical codes.
• Ability to plan and organize work.
• Proficiency in brazing, soldering, and welding.
• Mechanical and electrical aptitude with large tonnage HVAC equipment.
• Must be able to service compressors, cooling towers, pumps, VAV boxes, energy management controls.
• Must be able to work varying shifts, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot HVAC equipment and controls to identify problems and perform repairs.
• Conduct preventive maintenance of HVAC equipment as part of the facility's program.
• Install ductwork, refrigeration piping, air conditioning units, and exhaust equipment.
• Operate, maintain, and log all HVAC and MEP equipment under supervision.
• Respond to tenant service requests and build positive tenant relationships.
• Carry out preventive maintenance and repairs on HVAC equipment such as plumbing and electrical systems.
• Maintain logs detailing preventive work performed on equipment.
• Assist in inventory management by helping order stock and maintain supplies.
• Respond promptly to emergency situations and client concerns.
• Review tenant and client improvement plans and inspect active construction areas for compliance.
• Manage fire alarm and sprinkler systems, coordinating shutdowns and tests with contractors.
• Inspect buildings, grounds, and equipment for unsafe conditions and report to management.
• Maintain and operate life safety/fire systems.
• Perform minor repairs on doors, hardware, locks, windows, ceilings, and floors.
• Troubleshoot and make recommendations to improve maintenance operations and implement savings.
• Comply with codes, regulations, and safety policies; communicate with management and stakeholders.
• Daily communication with property management, engineering staff, security, tenants, and contractors/vendors.
• Perform other duties including snow removal and emergency repairs.
