Qualifications

• Active HVAC license and 5+ years in a commercial/industrial facility.
• Familiarity with HVAC and electrical codes.
• Ability to plan, organize work and perform brazing/soldering/welding.
• Experience with large tonnage HVAC equipment.
• Availability for varying shifts including weekends/holidays.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot HVAC equipment and controls to identify problems and perform repairs.
• Conduct preventive maintenance as part of the facility program.
• Install ductwork, refrigeration piping, air conditioning units, and exhaust equipment.
• Operate, maintain, and log all HVAC/MEP equipment.
• Respond to tenant service requests and build strong tenant relationships.
• Review plans and inspect active construction areas for compliance with building rules.
• Manage fire alarm and sprinkler systems, coordinating shutdowns/tests with contractors.
• Inspect buildings and report unsafe conditions; maintain life safety systems.
• Daily communication with management, engineering, security, tenants, and contractors.
• Perform other related duties such as snow removal and emergency repairs.
