Job summary

JLL is seeking a hands-on Specialist, HVAC Technician to service commercial facilities across New York State, including Buffalo and Syracuse. You will perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot HVAC and related systems, and ensure safety and operational excellence while building strong client relationships.

This on-site role requires travel between sites, the ability to lift heavy loads, and flexibility for after-hours work.

Qualifications

• Four+ years of technical experience in commercial building engineering with HVAC, plumbing, and electrical maintenance.
• Valid state driver’s license with clean driving record; travel between facilities is essential.
• Physical ability to lift up to 80 lbs. and climb ladders up to 30 ft. safely.
• Availability to work on-call duties and overtime as required.
• Strong knowledge of applicable codes, regulations, and safety laws.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and repair work orders on mechanical, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and building systems across multiple facilities.
• Maintain, operate, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC systems and associated equipment, electrical distribution, plumbing, and building components.
• Conduct facility inspections and due diligence assessments and submit detailed reports to management.
• Respond to emergencies and after-hours activities to minimize disruption to client operations.
• Operate and monitor building automation systems and life-safety systems in compliance with safety procedures.
