Job summary

JLL is seeking a Mobile Engineer in Tampa, Florida to maintain HVAC, refrigeration, and electrical systems. The ideal candidate will have four years of technical experience in building engineering, with a strong background in HVAC/R and plumbing.

Qualifications

Mobile Engineer

What this job involves

Operates, inspects, and maintains all HVAC, refrigeration, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and production equipment and systems in assigned facilities to obtain efficient operating results and extend life expectancy. Assures that equipment is maintained in an energy‑efficient, safe manner and downtime is reduced to a minimum by anticipating necessary repairs, keeping records of past operating experiences. Performs inspections and repairs to assigned property interior and exterior areas, including walls, flooring, installed fixtures, roofing systems, lighting, etc. Focuses on operating, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing facility equipment on all HVAC/R systems. Demonstrates technical expertise in HVAC and refrigeration and is multi‑skilled in electrical, piping/plumbing, material handling, and other related areas to complete daily/weekly work assignments.

What is your day to day?

• Performance of ongoing preventive and repair response work orders on facility mechanical, electrical, and other installed systems and equipment.
• Maintain, operate, and repair all HVAC/R systems and associated equipment, electrical distribution equipment, plumbing systems, building interior/exterior repair, and related grounds and production equipment as it pertains to assigned buildings.
• Study and become familiar with the various items of equipment, and the methods required to use them properly.
• Perform assigned facility inspections and due diligence efforts, reporting on any conditions impacting client occupancy and operations.
• Submit P‑card receipts daily.
• Update work order status in real time.
• Utilize CMMS systems such as Corrigo for all work performed.
• Maintain a valid state driver’s license.
• Be available for call‑in work and perform other duties as required.

Required Qualifications

• Universal CFC recovery certification (or within 90 days of employment).
• Minimum of four (4) years of technical experience in all aspects of building engineering with a strong background in HVAC/R, plumbing, electrical, production equipment repair and maintenance, and knowledge of overall system design and applications.
• Experience troubleshooting and maintaining commercial or supermarket refrigeration.
• Must have a high school diploma or GED.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience utilizing CMMS (Work Order) systems.
• Working knowledge of computer applications including Word and Excel.
• Two years of trades school or documented apprenticeship in electrical systems, refrigeration, and HVAC.

Location

Mobile position covering Tampa, FL and surrounding area.

Work Shift

Standard business hours with on‑call availability.
