Job summary

Jones Lang LaSalle is seeking a Mobile Engineer to operate, inspect, and maintain HVAC, refrigeration, electrical, plumbing, and production equipment across assigned facilities in Milwaukee. The role focuses on energy efficiency, reliability, and safe operation with strong multi‑skill capabilities.

You will perform preventive and repair work orders, manage inspections, and maintain accurate records. A valid state driver’s license and ability to work on-site in Milwaukee, WI are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent required.
• Universal CFC recovery certification (or within 90 days of employment).
• Minimum of four (4) years of technical building engineering experience with HVAC/R, plumbing, electrical, and production equipment repair and maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and repair work orders on facility systems and components.
• Operate, repair, and maintain HVAC/R and associated electrical, plumbing, and production equipment.
• Study equipment and learn proper operation and maintenance methods.
• Conduct facility inspections and due diligence; report conditions affecting occupancy and operations.
• Submit P-card receipts daily and update work order status in real time.

Mobile Engineer

What this job involves

Operates, inspects, and maintains all HVAC, refrigeration, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and production equipment and systems in assigned facilities to obtain efficient operating results and life expectancy. Assures that equipment is maintained in an energy‑efficient, safe manner and downtime is reduced to a minimum by anticipating necessary repairs and keeping records of past operating experiences. Performs inspections and repairs to assigned property interior and exterior areas, including walls, flooring, installed fixtures, roofing systems, lighting, etc. Requires technical expertise in HVAC and refrigeration and is multi‑skilled in electrical, piping/plumbing, material handling, and other equipment to successfully complete daily and weekly assignments.

What is your day to day?

• Performance of ongoing preventive and repair response work orders on facility mechanical, electrical and other installed systems, equipment, and components.
• Maintain, operate, and repair all HVAC/R systems and associated equipment, electrical distribution equipment, plumbing systems, building interior/exterior repair, and related grounds and production equipment as they pertain to assigned buildings.
• Study and become familiar with the various equipment and the methods required to use them properly in everyday activities.
• Perform assigned facility inspections and due diligence efforts, reporting on conditions impacting satisfactory client occupancy and operations.
• Submit P-card receipts daily.
• Update work order status in real time.
• Utilize CMMS systems such as Corrigo for all work performed.
• Possess and maintain a valid state driver’s license.
• Be available for call‑in work and perform other duties as required.

Location: On‑site -Milwaukee, WI

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Universal CFC recovery certification (or within 90 days of employment).
• Minimum of four (4) years of technical experience in all aspects of building engineering with a strong background in HVAC/R, plumbing, electrical, and production equipment repair and maintenance; knowledge of overall system design and applications.
• Experience troubleshooting and maintaining commercial refrigeration and/or supermarket refrigeration.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience utilizing CMMS (Work Order) systems.
• Working knowledge of computer applications including Word and Excel.
• Two years of trades school or documented apprenticeship in electrical systems, refrigeration, and HVAC.
