Job summary

JLL is seeking a Mobile Engineer to operate, inspect, and maintain HVAC, refrigeration, and related facility systems across Woodbridge, VA and surrounding areas.

The role emphasizes proactive maintenance, quick problem solving, and strict adherence to safety and energy-efficiency protocols. A high school diploma and universal CFC certification within 90 days are required, with on-call duties and valid driver's license expected.

Qualifications

• Four+ years of building engineering experience with HVAC/R, plumbing, electrical and mechanical systems.
• Experience troubleshooting commercial refrigeration.
• HS diploma or GED required.
• Universal CFC recovery certification within 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and repair work orders on facility mechanical, electrical and other installed systems, equipment, and components.
• Maintain, operate, and repair all HVAC/R systems and associated equipment, electrical distribution, plumbing, and related building repair.
• Inspect interior/exterior areas, walls, flooring, fixtures, roofing and lighting.
• Update work orders and status in real time using CMMS systems.
• Possess and maintain a valid state driver’s license; available for on-call work.

Mobile Engineer

What this job involves –

Operates, inspects, andmaintainsall HVAC, refrigeration, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and production equipment and systems in assigned facilities to obtain most efficient operating results and life expectancy. Assures that equipment is beingmaintainedin an energy efficient, safe manner and down time is reduced to a minimum by anticipation of necessary repairs keeping records of past operating experiences. Performs inspections and repairs to assigned property interior and exterior areas, including walls and flooring, installed fixtures, roofing systems, lighting, etc. Strong focus on operating,maintaining,troubleshootingand repairingfacility equipment on all HVAC/R systems.Individuals are expectedtodemonstratetechnicalexpertisein HVAC and refrigeration and be multi skilled in electric, HVAC, Piping/Plumbing, Material HandlingEquipmentand othersin order tosuccessfully complete daily/weekly work assignments.

What is your day to day?

• Performance of ongoing preventive and repair response work orders on facility mechanical,electricaland other installed systems, equipment, and other components.
• Maintain,operate, and repair all HVAC/R systems and associated equipment, electrical distribution equipment, plumbing systems, building interior/exterior repair, and related grounds, and production equipment as it pertains to assigned buildings.
• Study and become familiar with thevarious itemsof equipment, and the methodsrequiredto use them properly, that arerequiredin everyday activities.
• Perform assigned facility inspections and due diligence efforts,reporting onas found conditionsimpactingsatisfactory client occupancy and operations.
• Submit P-card Receipts Daily
• Update work order status in real time
• Utilize CMMS systems such as Corrigo for all work performed.
• Candidate mustpossessand maintain a valid state driver’s license
• Must be available for Call-in work and perform other duties asrequired

Required Qualifications:

• Universal CFC recovery certification (or within90 daysof employment)
• Minimum of four (4) years of technical experience in all aspects of building engineering with a strong background in the technical aspects of HVAC/R, plumbing, electrical, production equipment repair and maintenance. Knowledge of overall system design and applications.
• Experience troubleshooting andmaintainingcommercial refrigeration and/or supermarket refrigeration.
• Must have a high school diploma or GED.

Preferred Qualifications:

• ExperienceutilizingCMMS (Work Order) systems
• Working knowledge of computer applications including Word and Excel
• Two years of trades school or documented apprenticeship in electrical systems,refrigerationand HVAC

Location:

Mobile position covering Woodbride, VA and surrounding area.
