The role includes delivering safe, reliable operation of building systems and working with clients and store personnel to ensure smooth service delivery.

Formación

• 1–2 years of job-related experience in HVAC or related field.
• EPA Universal Certification required.
• Strong troubleshooting, diagnostic, and repair capabilities.
• Experience servicing commercial HVAC equipment (rooftop units, split systems, air handlers).
• Knowledge of building systems (lighting, electrical, plumbing, carpentry).
• Valid driver's license required.

About The Role

As a CBRE Mobile HVAC Technician, you will provide maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and general facilities support for a portfolio of retail locations supporting a major telecommunications client throughout the Miami market. This mobile position is ideal for a hands-on technician who enjoys diagnosing HVAC issues, working independently, and ensuring critical building systems operate safely and efficiently.

This role is part of CBRE's Engineering & Technical Services function, which delivers preventive maintenance, repairs, equipment reliability, and operational support across client facilities.

In this position, you will primarily perform commercial HVAC service, maintenance, and repairs while also supporting basic electrical, plumbing, lighting, carpentry, and general building maintenance activities. You will travel between assigned locations, respond to service requests, and help provide an exceptional experience for client teams and retail store personnel.

CBRE provides a company vehicle, tools, gas card, and P-Card to support daily operations.

What You'll Do

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair commercial HVAC equipment to restore system performance and minimize downtime.
• Perform preventive maintenance and routine inspections on HVAC, mechanical, electrical, and building systems.
• Respond to service requests and complete corrective maintenance activities across multiple retail locations.
• Inspect, maintain, and repair lighting systems, including lamps, ballasts, drivers, fixtures, and related components.
• Perform basic electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and general building maintenance repairs as required.
• Review assigned work orders, estimate labor and materials, and document completed work accurately.
• Assist with installation, modification, replacement, and retrofits of building equipment and systems.
• Support energy management initiatives by helping ensure building systems operate efficiently and cost-effectively.
• Inspect facilities and equipment for compliance with applicable safety standards and operational requirements.
• Communicate effectively with clients, store personnel, vendors, and CBRE team members regarding maintenance activities and service updates.
• Maintain accurate service records, maintenance documentation, and inventory of parts and materials.
• Follow all safety policies, procedures, client requirements, and CBRE standards.
• Participate in an after-hours on-call rotation as required.

What You'll Need

• High School Diploma, GED, or Trade School Diploma with 1-2 years of job-related experience. In lieu of a diploma, a combination of education and experience will be considered.
• Valid Driver's License required.
• EPA Universal Certification required.
• Strong HVAC troubleshooting, diagnostic, and repair experience.
• Experience servicing commercial HVAC equipment, including rooftop units, split systems, air handlers, and associated mechanical equipment.
• General knowledge of commercial building systems, including lighting, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and general maintenance.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize work across multiple locations.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive and problem-solving mindset.
• Basic math skills, including the ability to calculate simple figures such as percentages, discounts, and markups.
• Ability to meet the physical requirements of the role, including standing, walking, climbing ladders, stooping, kneeling, and lifting/carrying up to 50 pounds or more.

Preferred Qualifications

• 3+ years of commercial HVAC experience.
• Experience supporting retail, telecommunications, or multi-site commercial facilities.
• Experience utilizing computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
• HVAC Trade School Certification.
• Experience working independently in a mobile service environment.

Pay Transparency

The hourly pay range for this position is $32.00 - $36.00 per hour. Compensation offered will depend on a variety of factors, including skills, qualifications, experience, certifications, education, training, internal equity, and market considerations.

Mobile Role Requirement
