Job summary
CBRE seeks a Mobile HVAC Technician in the Miami market to service a portfolio of retail locations. You will perform maintenance, troubleshoot issues, and complete repairs, while traveling between sites and supporting basic building systems.
A company vehicle, tools, gas card, and P-Card are provided to enable efficient field operations. You will work under CBRE's Engineering & Technical Services function, ensuring safe, compliant operation of HVAC and related systems, and contribute to energy
Qualifications
- High School Diploma, GED, or Trade School Diploma with 1–2 years of job-related experience.
- Valid Driver's License required.
- EPA Universal Certification required.
- Strong HVAC troubleshooting, diagnostic, and repair experience.
- Experience servicing commercial HVAC equipment, including rooftop units, split systems, air handlers, and related mechanical equipment.
- General knowledge of commercial building systems including lighting, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and general maintenance.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize work across multiple locations.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive and problem-solving mindset.
- Basic math skills including percentage, discounts, and markups.
- Ability to meet the physical requirements of the role including standing, walking, climbing ladders, stooping, kneeling, and lifting up to 50 pounds or more.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair commercial HVAC equipment to restore system performance and minimize downtime.
- Perform preventive maintenance and routine inspections on HVAC, mechanical, electrical, and building systems.
- Respond to service requests and complete corrective maintenance activities across multiple retail locations.
- Inspect, maintain, and repair lighting systems, including lamps, ballasts, drivers, fixtures, and related components.
- Perform basic electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and general building maintenance repairs as required.
- Review assigned work orders, estimate labor and materials, and document completed work accurately.
- Assist with installation, modification, replacement, and retrofits of building equipment and systems.
- Support energy management initiatives by helping ensure building systems operate efficiently and cost-effectively.
- Inspect facilities and equipment for compliance with applicable safety standards and operational requirements.
- Communicate effectively with clients, store personnel, vendors, and CBRE team members regarding maintenance activities and service updates.
- Maintain accurate service records, maintenance documentation, and inventory of parts and materials.
- Follow all safety policies, procedures, client requirements, and CBRE standards.
- Participate in an after-hours on-call rotation as required.

As a CBRE Mobile HVAC Technician, you will provide maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and general facilities support for a portfolio of retail locations supporting a major telecommunications client throughout the Miami market. This mobile position is ideal for a hands-on technician who enjoys diagnosing HVAC issues, working independently, and ensuring critical building systems operate safely and efficiently.
This role is part of CBRE's Engineering & Technical Services function, which delivers preventive maintenance, repairs, equipment reliability, and operational support across client facilities.
In this position, you will primarily perform commercial HVAC service, maintenance, and repairs while also supporting basic electrical, plumbing, lighting, carpentry, and general building maintenance activities. You will travel between assigned locations, respond to service requests, and help provide an exceptional experience for client teams and retail store personnel.

- Experience supporting retail, telecommunications, or multi-site commercial facilities.
- Experience utilizing computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
- HVAC Trade School Certification.
- Experience working independently in a mobile service environment.

The hourly pay range for this position is $32.00 - $36.00 per hour. Compensation offered will depend on a variety of factors, including skills, qualifications, experience, certifications, education, training, internal equity, and market considerations.

This position requires travel between multiple client locations within the assigned Miami-area service territory. A valid driver's license and acceptable driving record are required.
