Job summary

CBRE Group, Inc. seeks an HVAC Mobile Engineer to maintain mechanical and electrical equipment for commercial HVAC systems at multiple facilities. You will provide preventive maintenance, repairs, and support across the engineering and technical services function.

You will inspect, troubleshoot, and repair complex HVAC systems while ensuring compliance with codes and safety standards. This role involves operating company vehicles and mentoring colleagues in best practices.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 4–5 years of job-related experience. In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered; prior shift manager or supervisory experience preferred.
• Meet the physical requirements: stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and ability to lift/carry 50 lbs or more.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Inspect and maintain building HVAC equipment in accordance with applicable codes and safety standards.
• Troubleshoot equipment failures and determine actions for modifications to maintain, operate, and repair HVAC systems and related electrical/plumbing.
• Perform repairs, emergency and preventive maintenance; document maintenance records as required.
• Operate company-issued vehicles in daily work responsibilities.
• Share in-depth knowledge of HVAC systems and cross-discipline insights with the team.
• Lead by example and promote CBRE RISE values; build consensus and drive results.
• Explain complex information clearly to clients and team members, ensuring understanding of technical details.

This job is part of the Engineering and Technical Services job function. They are responsible for providing support, preventive maintenance, and repairs on equipment and systems.

What You’ll Do

• Impact a range of customer, operation, project, or service activities within your team and other related teams.
• Work within broad guidelines and policies to conduct inspections and ongoing maintenance on building HVAC equipment, ensuring compliance with applicable codes, regulations, and safety standards.
• Troubleshoot equipment failures, determine the best course of action for equipment modifications, and apply your expertise to maintain, operate, and repair HVAC systems and associated equipment, including electrical distribution and plumbing systems.
• Perform assigned repairs, emergency, and preventive maintenance, while also completing maintenance and repair records as required.
• Operate company-issued vehicles in the execution of daily work responsibilities.
• Apply an in-depth knowledge of standard principles, techniques, and procedures to accomplish complex tasks and solve non-routine problems.
• Coach others and share your in-depth knowledge of HVAC systems and broad knowledge of several job disciplines within the function.
• Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values. Work to build consensus and convince others to reach an agreement.
• Impact the quality of your work and the work of others on the team, ensuring that tasks are completed efficiently and to a high standard.

What You’ll Need

• Strong organizational skills with an advanced inquisitive mindset, capable of analyzing and solving mildly complex problems.
• Sophisticated math skills, with the ability to calculate mildly complex figures such as percentages, fractions, and other financial-related calculations.

CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate’s education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for the HVAC Mobile Engineer position is $85,000 annually [or $40.87 per hour] and the maximum salary for the HVAC Mobile Engineer position is $89,000 annually [or $42.79 per hour]. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience. This role will provide the following benefits: 401(K), Dental insurance, Health insurance, Life insurance, and Vision insurance.
