Job summary

A facility management company is seeking a Mobile Engineer to maintain HVAC, mechanical, and plumbing systems in Brighton, MI. The candidate will perform inspections, repairs, and preventive maintenance to ensure optimal operation of all facility-related equipment. Required qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, CFC certification within 90 days, and four years of related experience. Preferred skills include familiarity with CMMS systems and knowledge of computer applications. This is an onsite role without visa sponsorship.

Job description

Mobile Engineer — Facility Maintenance

Operates, inspects, and maintains HVAC, refrigeration, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and production equipment and systems in assigned facilities to achieve efficient operation and longevity. Ensures equipment is maintained in an energy‑efficient, safe manner, reduces downtime by anticipating repairs, and records operational history. Performs inspections and repairs in interior/exterior property areas, including walls, flooring, fixtures, roofing, and lighting. Focuses on operating, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing facility equipment on all HVAC/R systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform ongoing preventive and repair response work orders on facility mechanical, electrical, and other installed systems.
• Maintain, operate, and repair all HVAC/R systems and associated equipment, electrical distribution equipment, plumbing systems, building interior/exterior repair, grounds, and production equipment.
• Study and become familiar with equipment and required methods for proper use.
• Conduct facility inspections and due diligence, reporting conditions affecting client occupancy and operations.
• Submit P‑card receipts daily and update work order status in real time.
• Utilize CMMS systems such as Corrigo for all work performed.
• Maintain a valid state driver’s license and be available for call‑in work.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Universal CFC recovery certification (or within 90 days of employment).
• Minimum of four (4) years of technical experience in all aspects of building engineering with strong background in HVAC/R, plumbing, electrical, production equipment repair and maintenance; knowledge of overall system design and applications.
• Experience troubleshooting and maintaining commercial refrigeration and/or supermarket refrigeration.
• Valid state driver’s license and availability for call‑in work.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience utilizing CMMS (Work Order) systems.
• Working knowledge of computer applications including Word and Excel.
• Two years of trades school or documented apprenticeship in electrical systems, refrigeration and HVAC.

Location: Onsite – Brighton, MI. This position does not provide visa sponsorship. Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
