What this job involves:

This role provides comprehensive building maintenance support across multiple systems, including lighting, HVAC, plumbing, and equipment repairs. You'll work closely with the operations team to address tenant requests and maintain facility functionality, while also being available for after-hours emergency support as needed.

Your day-to-day tasks will include:

• Maintaining lighting systems through regular bulb and ballast replacements
• Supporting the operations team with building equipment maintenance and repair tasks
• Performing interior HVAC/R maintenance, including coil cleaning and evaporator servicing
• Repairing and maintaining commercial kitchen equipment (meat grinders, cubers, saws, slicers)
• Completing minor plumbing repairs throughout the facility
• Handling specialized tasks like painting, locksmith work, and responding to tenant service requests
• Managing hazardous materials according to proper storage, usage, and disposal protocols
• Documenting maintenance activities and inventory needs
• Responding to emergency maintenance situations as they arise

Desired experience and technical skills

Requirements:

• Experience with general building maintenance and repairs
• Knowledge of lighting system components and replacement procedures
• Ability to respond to after-hours emergency calls
• Understanding of hazardous materials handling protocols
• Basic plumbing repair experience

Preferred:

• HVAC/R maintenance experience
• Commercial kitchen equipment maintenance background
• Locksmith skills
• Painting experience
• Previous building or facilities maintenance role
