Job summary

CBRE is seeking a Union Mobile HVAC Engineer to support a dynamic retail portfolio across New Jersey. You will perform preventive maintenance, diagnose and repair HVAC and building systems, and respond to service requests at multiple sites.

You start from home, drive a CBRE van, and work in the field with provided tools and PPE. You will use CMMS to update work orders, coordinate with clients, and ensure safety and reliability of facilities, with after-hours availability for emergencies as

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent; trade school or apprenticeship preferred.
3-5 years of experience in building engineering (HVAC, electrical, plumbing).
Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
EPA Universal Certification (or obtained within 90 days) and required local licenses.
Valid driver’s license.
Ability to read blueprints and wiring diagrams.

Responsibilities

Perform preventive maintenance and respond to repair work orders for building systems and equipment.
Inspect, operate, and maintain HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general building systems.
Conduct facility inspections and report conditions impacting operations.
Troubleshoot and repair equipment while maintaining safety and efficiency standards.
Follow all safety procedures, complete hazard assessments, and comply with OSHA and local regulations.
Use CMMS (e.g., Corrigo) to update work orders and document activities in real time.
Communicate effectively with clients and management; work independently in the field.
Safely operate and maintain company vehicles; complete required inspections and documentation.
