Job summary

Heartstrings Pet Hospice in Miami, FL seeks a compassionate veterinarian to deliver in-home hospice and euthanasia, practicing patient-centered medicine in the familiar setting of a family’s home. You’ll listen, answer hard questions with kindness, and help families say goodbye with dignity and peace.

You’ll work independently on the road with a supportive team that invests in your growth and well-being from day one, offering 2–5 day-per-week options and self-managed scheduling.

Qualifications

• Must be licensed to practice in the U.S.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted and up to 90 lbs with assistance.
• Weekends on your terms with flexible scheduling to fit family events.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-home veterinary hospice and euthanasia services, practicing medicine with time and compassion in the family’s home.
• Meet families at home, supporting them through end-of-life decisions with empathy and clear communication.
• Incorporate onboarding and mentorship from the team; collaborate with colleagues for best patient and family care.
• Maintain professional standards, safety, and compliance, including license verification and background checks prior to start.
