Job summary

Beacon Home Health in Jefferson City, TN seeks a dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant to join our Home Health team. You will implement treatment plans, educate patients, and assist with gait, ADLs, and transfers under the supervision of a PT.

Travel within Claiborne County is required to visit multiple patient residences daily. The role emphasizes compliance with PT guidelines, patient safety, and coordination with nurses and physicians.

Qualifications

• Current PTA license in the state where services are rendered.
• Current CPR certification.
• Driver's license, vehicle insurance, and access to a dependable vehicle or public transportation.
• Must be able to reliably commute to multiple patient residences daily within the geographic area assigned.

Responsibilities

• Perform treatment and provide exercise instruction and patient education under the supervising PT.
• Instruct and aid patients in active and passive exercise, gait, ADLs, transfers, and prosthetic training.
• Observe, record, and report patient responses to treatment and changes in condition to the supervising PT and care team.
• Coordinate care with nurses and physicians as appropriate.
