Job summary
Tennessee Quality Care is seeking a compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our Home Health team in Jackson, TN. You will provide direct physical therapy under a qualified PT, helping patients regain mobility and independence in their homes.
The role requires an accredited PTA program graduate, current licensure, CPR certification, and reliable transportation for home visits. We offer comprehensive benefits and a supportive team environment.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited PTA program with an AA/AS in PTA approved by APTA.
- Current licensure as a PTA in the state of practice.
- At least 1 year of PTA experience preferred.
- CPR certification required.
- Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct physical therapy according to the plan of care and state practice act.
- Treat patients to relieve pain, restore function, and maintain max performance.
- Assist in active/passive therapeutic exercises, gait and functional training.
- Administer modalities (heat, cold, electrical, massage) as ordered.
- Instruct and motivate patients in learning functional activities.
- Document treatments and progress in the clinical record.
- Report changes to supervising PT and Directors.
- Instruct patients in use of wheelchairs and assistive devices.
