Job summary

Kirby-Smith Machinery, Inc. is seeking a Wirtgen Group Heavy Equipment Field Service Technician/Mechanic to perform in-field repairs on paving, milling/reclaimer, and related equipment.

The role will involve diagnosing issues, ordering parts, and preparing technical reports while ensuring proper care of company assets. The position requires travel to customer sites, adherence to safety policies, and the ability to work overtime or weekends as needed.

Qualifications

• English reading, writing and speaking required.
• Two years of continuous experience diagnosing and repairing construction equipment.
• Ability to read hydraulic and electrical schematics.

Responsibilities

• Operate a mobile service vehicle and travel to customer locations to perform in-field repairs.
• Diagnose issues, order parts, and write technical reports.
• Maintain company assets and communicate effectively with customers and team.
