Job summary

Edw. C. Levy Co. is hiring a Heavy Mobile Equipment Field Mechanic in Saginaw, MI. You will be responsible for dismantling and reassembling equipment, utilizing diagnostic software, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.

The ideal candidate must possess strong mechanical aptitude, knowledge of heavy equipment, and be able to lift up to 50 lbs. A valid driver's license (CDL-A preferred) is required. Competitive benefits, including tuition reimbursement and loan repayment programs, are offered.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Tier IV Emissions experience.
• Ability to bend, kneel, stoop, climb or crawl under or on top of equipment.
• Ability to manipulate components in hard to reach places with hands or tools.
• Valid Driver’s License – CDL‑A preferred.
• Willingness to perform other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Comply with all safety regulations, policies, and record-keeping.
• Dismantle and reassemble trucks, machines, and equipment to gain access to problem areas.
• Maintain work area to allow safe movement and access.
• Visually inspect and listen to machines and equipment to locate causes of malfunctions.
• Read schematics.
• Utilize diagnostic software to troubleshoot malfunctions.
• Weld, cut, and fabricate equipment and components.
• Meet customer service expectations.
