Job summary

Walbec Group seeks a Heavy Equipment Field Service Mechanic to service and repair construction equipment from our Gladstone, MI facility, covering northern Wisconsin and Michigan's Upper Peninsula. You will perform inspections, diagnostics, and major component overhauls to ensure safe, reliable operation in a heavy shop plus field setting.

The role requires five+ years on heavy-duty trucks/equipment, diesel engine experience, own tools up to 1" drive, and the ability to work varied hours

Qualifications

• High school diploma plus vocational training or related work experience.
• Experience diagnosing and repairing heavy equipment and diesel engines.
• Ability to read electrical/hydraulic schematics and use diagnostic tools.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain construction equipment safely and efficiently.
• Perform inspections, diagnostic tests and component replacements.
• Keep accurate service and repair logs and maintain shop equipment.
• Work outdoors and in a heavy shop environment with a team.
