Job summary

Ryder is hiring an Experienced Level Diesel Technician in Loxley, Alabama. Earn $32.00 per hour with weekly pay, generous benefits, and a clear career path in maintenance and repair of heavy-duty vehicles.

Sign-on bonuses, certification bonuses, quarterly bonuses, and substantial PTO are offered. You will perform preventive and complex repairs, mentor junior techs, and use diagnostic tools and a Shop Management System.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Vocational or Technical Certification Post Secondary degree or Technical Certifications, preferred.
• Basic tools, required.
• Three years or more relevant work experience, preferred.
• Valid CDL Class A preferred; must obtain CDL within 6 months after hire.
• All other location-specific certifications as required.

Responsibilities

• Performs vehicle maintenance and repair duties including standard maintenance, preventive maintenance.
• Diagnoses complex mechanical and electronic problems using diagnostic computer when applicable.
• Completes inspections and repairs with minimal supervision.
• Mentors Tech 1 and Tech 2 levels.
• Uses Shop Management System and maintains electronic documentation.
