Qualifications

• Vocational or technical certification preferred.
• Valid CDL Class A preferred; ability to obtain CDL within 6 months.
• Must pass Ryder drug test, DOT physical, road test and background/motor vehicle checks.

Responsibilities

• Performs vehicle maintenance and repair duties.
• Performs standard vehicle maintenance.
• Performs standard component inspections and repairs.
• Performs preventive maintenance.
• Diagnoses mechanical/electronic problems with diagnostic tools.
• Identifies root causes and performs repairs as required.
• Interacts with drivers to determine nature of complaints.
• Complies with safety, DOT, MOT guidelines and shop processes.
• Performs other support duties as required.
