Job summary

Medical University of South Carolina is seeking a Mobile Health Unit Access & Field Logistics Coordinator to expand access to healthcare across South Carolina. Under the supervision of the Orangeburg Breast Health Center Operations Manager, you will oversee daily MHU field operations and logistics, including travel coordination, scheduling, patient registration, and vehicle maintenance.

This is a mission-driven role focused on connecting people to care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor’s degree in healthcare/public health preferred.
• Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
• At least 2 years of experience operating large vehicles.
• At least 2 years of experience in healthcare, patient intake, community outreach, or public health programs.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; educator and community liaison roles.
• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends.
• Proficiency with data entry, record management, and basic reporting tools.
• Knowledge of health screening processes, medical terminology, or EHR systems.
• Familiarity with program development, partnership-building, or grant initiatives.
• Mechanical aptitude or prior vehicle maintenance experience.
