Job summary

Paycom - ATS is seeking a field service technician to repair and maintain electric, diesel, and gasoline industrial trucks and construction equipment. You will read work orders, diagnose issues, prepare repair estimates, perform mechanical repairs, and document all work performed with serial numbers and hours.

The role requires GED, 1–3 months of related experience or training, and a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Qualifications

• Education: GED or equivalent
• Experience: 1–3 months related experience or training
• Computer Skills: knowledge of internet software
• Certificates & Licenses: valid driver’s license with clean driving record
• Language: ability to read and interpret safety rules and manuals
• Ability to write routine reports and communicate with customers
• Math: basic arithmetic for measurements and billing
• Reasoning: follow written and oral instructions and solve simple problems

Responsibilities

• Read work orders and diagnose vehicle malfunctions based on operation and inspection findings
• Provide repair estimates and discuss options with customers
• Perform mechanical repairs after inspecting the breakdown
• Record repair details on work orders with model, serial numbers and hours
• Obtain signatures and communicate repair needs to customers
• Inspect safety devices and adjust as needed to meet specs
• Lubricate moving parts and test drive repaired equipment
• Maintain professional appearance of service vans and report to coordination teams
