Job summary

Equipment Depot is seeking an experienced service technician to repair and maintain electric, diesel, and gasoline industrial trucks and construction equipment. You will diagnose issues, perform repairs, and verify results to meet customer specifications.

Responsibilities include documenting repairs, communicating status to customers, maintaining safety standards, and ensuring timely paperwork and time cards are submitted daily.

Responsibilities

• Read work order and observe and listen to truck in operation to determine malfunction/diagnose the problem(s)
• Offer solutions to meet customer specifications; provide estimates when appropriate
• Perform mechanical repairs to equipment after a complete inspection and analysis of breakdown
• Record complete repair description on work order, including model, serial number, and hour meter reading
• Obtain signature from customer and communicate repair needs or work completed
• Inspect protective guards, loose bolts, and safety devices; adjust as needed
• Lubricate moving parts and test drive repaired truck to verify conformance
• Present Equipment Depot professionally; maintain neat van exterior and interior
• Track and schedule with operations or service manager for routine maintenance or issues
• Work to protect customers, Equipment Depot, and the public
• Return paperwork to field service coordinator daily (work orders, fuel receipts, sublet invoices)
• Submit time cards by 9:00 a.m. daily; if dispatched from home, call in by 9:00 a.m.
