Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent; 1 year of related mechanical experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Language Ability: read/interpret safety rules and manuals; write routine reports; speak before groups.
• Math Ability: perform basic arithmetic and measurements with common fractions and decimals.
• Reasoning Ability: apply common sense to carry out instructions and solve problems.
• Computer Skills: knowledge of Microsoft Office products; internet software.

Responsibilities

• Accepts assigned work orders from Service Dispatcher, Planner and Manager to diagnose and plan repairs.
• Write complete repair descriptions on work orders with correct model, serial number and hour meter readings.
• Inspect units for safety devices, adjust as needed and verify repairs meet specifications.
• Lubricate moving parts and test drives to ensure conformance with specs.
• Process paperwork and time cards; provide data reporting on work in progress.
