Allstate Insurance Co. is seeking a Field Auto Appraiser to join our claims team in a field-based role serving Nassau County, Long Island. You’ll write estimates, meet customers where they are, and guide the repair or total-loss process through on-site and virtual inspections.

You’ll collaborate with body shops, manage multiple assignments, and travel as needed, using technology to process claims efficiently while delivering compassionate, clear communication.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years in auto collision estimating using CCC or Mitchell
• High School Diploma or GED
• Proficient written and verbal communication to interact with customers
• Strong attention to detail and ability to write precise estimates
• Comfortable with technology and platforms for claims processing
• Excellent time management and ability to manage multiple assignments

Responsibilities

• Lead with empathy and support customers through claims process
• Investigate and evaluate damage to determine coverage and scope
• Write clear, comprehensive repair estimates
• Negotiate settlements with customers, vendors, and third parties
• Utilize multiple tools and platforms to process claims efficiently
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation in claims systems
