Key responsibilities:

• Operate heavy equipment including cranes and loaders safely and efficiently
• Follow OSHA safety procedures and participate in safety meetings
• Perform equipment inspections and maintenance reports
• Assist with yard duties such as loading, moving materials, and yard cleanup
• Communicate effectively with team members
• Willingness to cross-train and perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• At least 3 years of heavy equipment operation experience, preferably in scrap metal or construction
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with excellent customer service skills
• Knowledge of equipment safety and mechanical principles
• Ability to understand instructions and adapt to changing priorities
• Dependability in attendance and schedule
• Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, holidays, outdoors in all weather conditions
• Bilingual preferred; candidates within 50 miles preferred
