Orange County Utilities provides water resources and solid waste recovery services to protect and enrich the lives of citizens and guests of Orange County, FL. The Field Services Division manages over 4,600 miles of pipeline, 10,000+ fire hydrants, and about 810 wastewater pump stations.
We are seeking qualified individuals for the Equipment Operator IV position, which requires skilled operation of complex heavy construction and maintenance equipment, including routine safety checks and maintenance.
Performs skilled advanced work operating heavy construction and maintenance equipment.
This is skilled work involving complex heavy equipment operation. Responsibilities include safe operation, routine safety checks, and maintenance. Work is assigned and reviewed by a supervisor, with performance evaluated based on safety, efficiency, and quality of work.
Four years of experience operating and maintaining medium to heavy automotive, construction, or maintenance equipment. Valid Florida Commercial Driver's License required or to be obtained within six months. Ability to understand written and oral instructions.
1-3 years of underground construction experience preferred.
