High Grade Materials Company is seeking a Mobile Mechanic to service our fleet and equipment across multiple job sites. The role is full-time, hourly, and non-exempt, with travel to various locations as required.

You will perform maintenance, diagnose issues, and perform repairs on trucks, heavy equipment, and related systems. A valid driver's license, pass of a drug screen, and strong mechanical skills are essential. Flexibility for evenings and Saturdays may be required.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Two years of related experience preferred.
• Possession of a valid driver license required.
• Ability to pass a drug screen as part of employment.
• Extensive knowledge of vehicle and equipment repair essential.
• Excellent mechanical repair skills required.
• Ability to read service and repair manuals.
• Proficient with computer diagnostic equipment and software.
• Must be physically able to climb, bend, lift up to 50 lbs.
• Adheres to safety regulations at all times.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule including nights and Saturdays.

Responsabilités

• Maintains vehicles and equipment, including company fleet.
• Performs routine and preventative maintenance such as oil changes and tune-ups.
• Performs tests on parts and systems to ensure proper function.
• Identifies mechanical problems visually or with diagnostic equipment.
• Repairs or replaces malfunctioning parts and systems (brakes, belts, pumps, transmissions).
• Test drives vehicles to confirm safe operation.
• Adheres to all safety regulations and company policies.
• Reports incidents/injuries to management promptly.
• Other duties as assigned.

Essential Functions

• Maintains vehicles and equipment, which may include company’s fleet of passenger cars, trucks, heavy equipment, tractor/trailers, etc.
• Performs routine and preventative maintenance including oil changes and tune-ups
• Performs tests on specific parts and systems to ensure proper function
• Identifies mechanical problems either visually or with computer diagnostic equipment
• Repairs or replaces malfunctioning parts and systems such as brake pads, belts, water pumps, transmissions, and other mechanical parts
• Test drives vehicles to confirm safe and proper operation
• Must have excellent attendance record and be punctual
• Adhere to all safety regulations including company policies, State, and Federal regulations; actively engage with employees to reinforce safe behaviors
• Responsible for reporting all incidents/injuries to management as soon as they occur
• Other duties as assigned

Education

• High School Diploma or equivalent

• Must have the physical ability to: climb, stoop, bend, squat, twist, frequently lift up to 50 lbs., stretch, drive/sit
• Proficient dexterity with both hands
• Adhere to all safety regulations including company policies, State, and Federal regulations
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule with flexible hours, hours vary; overtime work, Saturdays and nights, may be required

Working Conditions

• Works from a truck equipped for mobile repairs traveling to various company locations. Work will mostly be performed outside providing exposure to various weather conditions ranging from extreme heat and cold, rain, snow, ice and wind
• Exposure to people in various types of emotional conditions
• Exposure to all types of terrain ranging from uneven, slippery, and soft ground
