Job summary

Downtown Women’s Center seeks a full-time Specialist - Mobile Employment to provide trauma-informed, culturally responsive employment services to women and gender diverse individuals who are unhoused or transitioning. The role offers in-home and field-based support across Los Angeles County, with career readiness coaching and employer engagement to place participants in jobs or training.

Qualifications

• At least two years of experience in mentor/counselor or related role.
• Knowledge of homelessness and associated barriers preferred.
• Experience with trauma-informed care and client support.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Provide trauma-informed, culturally responsive employment services to participants.
• Conduct 1:1 job readiness activities including resume building and interview practice.
• Conduct orientations, schedule programming, and coordinate with other programs.
• Engage employers and source job openings; develop job opportunities.
• Coordinate and deliver career readiness series and workshops.
