Job summary

Qualifications

• Required: high school diploma, 5+ years as electrician or journeyman, NJ driver’s license, knowledge of emergency power systems, OSHA rules.
• Preferred: Journeyman or Master Electrician license.

Responsibilities

• Figure layout, install, repair wiring, fixtures, and control equipment.
• Prepare sketches or read blueprints for routing concealed wiring.
• Measure, cut, assemble, and install conduit and fittings.
• Pull wires through conduit with assistance from helper.
• Splice wires, test circuits for safety and compatibility.
• Connect power cables and establish proper grounding.
• Test circuits with ohmmeter, oscilloscope and related tools.
• Monitor operation of equipment for hazards and adjustments.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
