Job summary

Versiti Blood Center of Ohio is seeking a Specialist, Donor Box Truck Driver to perform phlebotomy collection and safely transport staff and equipment. You will interact with donors and coordinators to deliver a high-quality donation experience and help maintain a collaborative team environment.

The role requires DOT-compliant driving, excellent customer service, and the ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1–3 years relevant, people-facing experience preferred.
• Must be able to read and interpret SOPs and safety rules.
• Must have basic math aptitude and strong attention to detail.
• Ability to provide a positive donor experience with professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Follow DOT guidelines when operating van/box truck, transporting staff and supplies.
• Prepare collection site and perform setup including technology systems.
• Perform donor screening, mini-physical, and phlebotomy.
• Provide excellent donor service and respond to inquiries promptly.
• May operate automation (Alyx/Trima) and recruit donors for automation.
• Maintain equipment and records; assist with donor rebooking.
• Observe donors for reactions and provide care as needed.
• Comply with all regulatory requirements and SOPs.
