Job summary

Med Resources in the Midwest and Georgia is seeking a reliable Driver/HME technician to deliver and set up durable medical equipment for patients, including wheelchairs, oxygen tanks, hospital beds, and other assistive devices.

You will assist with equipment demonstrations, maintain logs, and ensure compliance with DOT safety procedures. A valid driver’s license with a clean record is required; ability to lift 50 lb and read maps is essential.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to lift and move up to 50 lb.
• Ability to read maps.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently.
• DOT certification or ability to become DOT certified (Certification provided after hire).
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and set up durable medical equipment to patients using company vans.
• Assist with setting up and demonstrating equipment use, ensuring patient satisfaction and policy compliance.
• Assist the warehouse team when not performing duties listed above.
• Maintain accurate delivery logs, service records, and patient documentation.
• Communicate with dispatch, patients and caregivers regarding schedules and special needs.
• Perform routine vehicle checks and report maintenance issues.
• Follow all DOT regulations and company safety procedures.
