Job summary
Pace Transportation Services is seeking a Mobile Diesel Mechanic/Trailer Technician to join our on-site mobile fleet supporting customers across our expanding Lansing-area service territory. This role requires traveling to breakdown sites or worksites, diagnosing and repairing heavy-duty trucks and trailers, and working from home on-call with no fixed office location.
The ideal candidate has 5+ years of heavy-duty diagnostics experience, proficiency with Cummins tools, and the ability to work
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience on heavy-duty trucks and trailers.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair complex issues on heavy-duty trucks and trailers at customer sites.
- Read job orders and plan work procedures.
- Drive to worksites to perform repairs and complete complex tasks.
- Maintain service truck and conduct safety checks and daily inspections.
- Complete service worksheets and warranty claims.
- Communicate with customers effectively and update on progress.
- Other duties as assigned.
