Headquartered in Indianapolis, Cox Automotive Mobility Fleet Services (CAMFS) is one of the largest fleet maintenance companies in the country, providing on-site mobile maintenance and repair services nationwide for light, medium, and heavy-duty trucks and trailers.

Position Overview: The Mobile Diesel & Trailer Technician performs licensed DOT inspections, Preventative Maintenance, light repairs, diagnostics, and other duties. They learn advanced skills under supervision and aim to meet high performance metrics.

Duties include:

1. Perform scheduled maintenance, DOT inspections, and repairs on vehicles in a mobile environment.
2. Conduct minor adjustments and repairs on truck and trailer equipment.
3. Diagnose and repair various truck and trailer systems.
4. Test and inspect defective equipment, road test vehicles, and manage parts inventory.
5. Maintain safety standards, document work, and communicate effectively with clients and management.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma/GED with 3 years' related experience or equivalent combination.
• Own a set of hand tools necessary for the job.
• Obtain ASE T8 certification within 18 months.
• Pass DOT background screening and physical.
• Valid driver’s license, with a clean 3-year MVR review, and ability to drive legally in the U.S.

Certifications:

• ASE T8 (PMI) certification within 18 months. Preferred: ASE T3, T4, T5, T6, T7, T608/609.

Skills & Abilities:

• Physical ability to lift, bend, climb, and perform labor-intensive tasks.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to use diagnostic tools and equipment accurately.
