Job summary

Allegiance Truck Centers is seeking a Diesel Technician to perform diagnostics, electrical and mechanical repairs on trucks and engines. You’ll read repair orders and complete detailed repairs, install components, and verify work by test-driving repaired vehicles.

Qualified candidates have 1–2 years of diesel technician experience, a valid driver’s license, and a full set of hand tools. Certifications in diesel/automotive repair are preferred and PC use is required.

Qualifications

• Must have a positive attitude and mechanical aptitude.
• Candidates should have 1–2 years of medium/heavy diesel technician work experience.
• Must possess a full set of personal hand tools and be able to use a PC and basic applications.
• Minimum of High School Diploma or GED; vocational/technical certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical service on vehicles and equipment including troubleshooting, electrical and diagnostic services.
• Read Repair Orders and perform general and detailed repair of trucks, engines and components.
• Install various vehicle components including injectors, pistons, rods, bearings, and transmissions.
• Inspect trucks for safety and adjust as needed; drive repaired vehicles to verify repairs.
• Advise Service staff if additional repair work is necessary; maintain a clean, safe work area.
