Job summary

The Larson Group Peterbilt is looking for an experienced Mobile Diesel Service Technician to join our dynamic team. The Mobile Diesel Service Technician performs all functions of a fully qualified heavy-duty truck repair mechanic under minimal supervision.

This position is specifically responsible for assisting customers with repairs and diagnosis over the road within the assigned region. Travel will be required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma required or equivalent.
• Trade school certificate or degree preferred, not required.
• Experience in related field preferred, not required.
• Must possess or be able to obtain a Class A CDL.
• Motor Vehicle Record must adhere to MVR guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic/mechanical repairs on heavy-duty truck equipment and test to ensure repairs are complete.
• Travel to customer locations to perform repairs and provide over-the-road service and diagnosis.
• Follow safety rules and company policies at all times.
• Communicate with Service Manager regarding unavailable parts.
• Download and save Paccar Solutions/Decisiv data, including pictures, engine files, and diagnostics.
• Maintain repair order closure rate under 10 days with a 3-day lag.
• Record troubleshooting steps and results in detail for every repair.
• Save warrantable parts, label, box, and store with proper information.
• Maintain 85% efficiency and 90% productivity.
• Maintain Peterbilt online training percentage of 95%.
• Obtain and retain a Class A or B CDL during employment.
• Maintain company vehicle and ensure it is stocked with required tools and parts for off-site repairs.
