Job summary

The Larson Group Peterbilt is seeking an experienced Mobile Diesel Service Technician to join our field team. The role involves diagnostic and mechanical repairs on heavy‑duty trucks, with travel to customer locations to provide over‑the‑road service and diagnosis.

Safety is emphasized; you will communicate with the Service Manager about parts, document all steps, and maintain high efficiency and productivity. CDL Class A is required or obtainable during employment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma required; trade school certificate preferred.
• Must possess or be able to obtain a Class A CDL.
• Experience in a related field is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostic and mechanical repairs on heavy-duty truck equipment and tests repairs for quality.
• Travels to customer locations to perform repairs and provide over-the-road assistance and diagnosis.
• Adheres to safety rules and company policies at all times.
• Communicates with Service Manager regarding unavailable parts.
• Downloads and saves Paccar Solutions/Decisiv data and diagnostic files for each repair.
• Maintains repair order closure rate under 10 days and 3-day lag.
• Documents all troubleshooting steps and repair results in detail.
• Saves warrantable parts, labels and stores them properly.
• Maintains 85% efficiency and 90% productivity; 95% Peterbilt online training completion.
• Obtain and retain Class A or B CDL during employment.
