Job summary

The Larson Group Peterbilt is seeking an experienced Mobile Diesel Service Technician to join our field team. This role performs diagnostic and repair work on heavy-duty trucks at customer sites and across the road, with travel within the assigned region.

You will diagnose, repair, and test equipment, maintain safety and service standards, and document work thoroughly. A Class A CDL is required or obtainable, and candidates should be prepared for on-site/off-site travel and ongoing Peterbilt

Qualifications

High School diploma required.
Trade school certificate or associate degree preferred.
Experience in heavy-duty truck repair preferred.
Must possess or obtain Class A CDL.
Motor Vehicle Record must meet company guidelines.

Responsibilities

Perform diagnostic and mechanical repairs on heavy-duty truck equipment.
Travel to customer locations to perform repairs and provide over-the-road assistance.
Test repairs to ensure proper completion.
Follow safety rules and company policies.
Communicate parts needs to Service Manager when not available.
Document diagnostic data and photos for each repair.
Maintain repair orders with closure targets (≤10 days, ≤3-day lag).
Record troubleshooting steps and results clearly for each job.
Keep company vehicle stocked with tools and parts.
Maintain 85% efficiency and 90% productivity targets.
Maintain Peterbilt online training compliance at 95%.
Obtain and retain Class A CDL during employment.
