Job summary

Cox Fleet, a Cox Automotive company, is hiring a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II in Owensboro, KY. This field-based role performs DOT inspections, PMs, and electronic diagnostics on light to heavy trucks, with responsibility for light mechanical repairs and parts management.

You will work 2pm–11pm, Monday–Friday, in a mobile/onsite setting, coordinating with customers and maintaining safety standards. Comprehensive benefits and weekly pay are included.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED and 3 years’ experience in a related field.
• Possess and supply a set of hand tools necessary to perform required job duties.
• Obtain ASE T8 (PMI) certification within eighteen (18) months.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and DOT inspections on light, medium and heavy-duty vehicles in a mobile/field environment.
• Diagnose, adjust, and repair electrical, braking, cooling and engine systems on trucks.
• Inspect, test, and listen to defective equipment to diagnose malfunctions using test instruments.
• Road test vehicles to diagnose malfunctions and ensure proper operation.
