Job summary

Advantage Truck Group in Massachusetts is seeking an experienced Diesel Technician to join our Mobile Team. On-site repairs and fleet maintenance for customer accounts, including road-side service, will be performed with independence and precision.

The ideal candidate brings four+ years of diesel experience, holds trade school certification, and demonstrates proficiency across brakes, drive train, diesel engines, electrical systems, HVAC, and preventive maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Performs work on repair order in accordance with dealership and factory standards.
• Raise trucks, buses, and heavy parts or equipment by using hydraulic jacks or hoists.
• Do routine maintenance, oil changes, battery check, lubricating equipment and parts.
• Inspect, repair, or overhaul buses, trucks, and heavy equipment.
• Inspect brake systems, steering mechanisms, transmissions, engines, etc.
• Diagnoses cause of any malfunction and performs repair.
• Read and interpret diagnostic test results.
• Communicates with service advisor/dispatcher immediately if additional work is needed.
• Communicates with parts department to obtain needed parts.
• Repair or replace malfunctioning components, parts, mechanical or electrical equipment.
• Adjust and align wheels, tighten bolts and screws, and attach system components.
• Saves and tags parts of the job if under warranty or if requested by the customer.
• Test-drive vehicles to ensure that they run correctly after repair.
