Job summary

Rush Truck Centers in Bowling Green, KY, seeks a Mobile Service Technician to maintain client fleets and handle service calls at client locations. You will provide service with exceptional customer relations, performing cleaning, maintenance, inspections, and parts reconditioning.

Responsibilities include diagnosing faults with diagnostic equipment, maintaining inventory, and reporting to the Service Manager.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 7 years' experience as a Class 7 & 8 technician in a dealership or related truck service facility.
• Current and valid CDL and Medical card.
• Mechanical aptitude and technical ability.
• Must possess a valid driver license with a driving record that meets insurability guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Maintain all aspects of equipment according to company standards.
• Handle basic maintenance of the truck including fueling, oil checks, cleanliness, and required inspections.
• Manage inventory control on the service truck and for keeping the vehicle stocked.
• Report to the Service Manager and be assigned duties daily.
• Maintain availability for after-hours service calls and open work schedule.
• Maintain and inventory the supplied tools for the work required.
• Read job orders and diagnose vehicle malfunctions to plan procedures.
• Use diagnostic equipment to determine and perform correct repair procedures.
• Document and submit necessary paperwork in the mobile service program.
