Job summary

Rush Truck Leasing in Florida is seeking a Mobile Diesel Mechanic to service client fleets and respond to on-site service calls. You will perform diagnostics, maintenance, and part replacement per manuals, while upholding exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities include maintaining equipment per standards, managing service-truck inventory, documenting work in the system, and staying available for after-hours calls. CDL and clean driving record are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 5 years' experience as Class 7 & 8 technician.
• Holds a valid CDL and Medical card as required.
• Mechanical aptitude and sound technical ability required.
• Valid driver license with insurability per company policy.

Responsibilities

• Maintain all aspects of equipment according to company standards.
• Handle basic maintenance on the truck including fueling, oil checks, cleaning, and inspections.
• Manage inventory on the service truck and keep vehicle stocked.
• Report to the Service Manager with daily duties assigned.
• Maintain availability for after-hours service calls and open work schedule.
• Read job orders and diagnose malfunctions, plan work procedures.
• Utilize diagnostic equipment to determine repair procedures.
• Document work in the company computer system.
• Examine safety devices and adjust as needed.
• Perform preventative maintenance as requested.
• Respond to customer inquiries and foster positive relations.
