Job summary

Kooner Fleet Management Solutions is seeking a Mobile Diesel Mechanic/Technician to service Class 6-8 trucks and trailers at customer sites. You will perform preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs with a company-provided service truck and top-tier tools in a field-based setting.

You’ll work independently yet as part of a supportive team, with competitive pay, weekly paydays, and benefits starting after 30 days.

Qualifications

• 3+ years hands-on diesel tech experience on Class 6-8 trucks and trailers.
• DOT inspection and air brake repair expertise.
• Strong communication skills and ability to use mobile apps and digital tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform onsite preventative maintenance, DOT inspections and follow-up repairs on Class 6-8 trucks and trailers in a mobile field environment.
• Handle emergency road service calls with urgency.
• Respond to dispatch requests for scheduled and unscheduled service or maintenance.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, brake, cooling, and air systems.
• Use diagnostic tools, handheld computers, and precision instruments to identify issues quickly.
• Operate hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to complete repairs correctly.
• Road test vehicles to ensure repairs meet quality standards.
• Source parts with vendors to keep operations moving.
