MFS Fleet Service in Houston, TX is seeking a Mobile Diesel Technician to diagnose, maintain, and repair diesel-powered vehicles and equipment at customer sites.

This full-time, mobile on-site role offers guaranteed hours, a fully equipped service truck, and included tools. You will travel to client locations for diagnostics, repairs, and service documentation, delivering reliable support to customers.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a diesel technician.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on diagnostics.
• Familiarity with OEM specifications for various brands (e.g., Caterpillar).
• Proficient with hand/power tools and diagnostic equipment.
• Ability to lift heavy equipment during repairs.
• Ability to work independently or in a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on diesel engines, including diagnostics and troubleshooting.
• Perform vehicle maintenance including brake, transmission, alignment, and suspension work.
• Use hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to complete repair and fabrication tasks.
• Read and interpret schematics for electrical systems and hydraulic components.
• Provide customer service by communicating with clients regarding vehicle needs.
• Maintain accurate records of repairs and services performed.
• Operate heavy equipment as necessary for testing or repair purposes.
• Troubleshoot wiring and electrical issues.

The technician will travel to customer locations to diagnose, maintain, and repair diesel-powered vehicles and equipment.We provide all tools, equipment, and a fully equipped service truck, allowing you to focus on getting the job done safely and efficiently.Responsibilities-Perform routine maintenance and repairs on diesel engines, including diagnostics and troubleshooting.-Perform vehicle maintenance and repairs, including brake repair, transmission work, alignment, and suspension adjustments.-Use hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to complete repair and fabrication work.-Read and interpret schematics for electrical systems and hydraulic components.-Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding their vehicle needs.-Maintain accurate records of repairs and services performed.
