Job summary

MFS Fleet Service is seeking an experienced Mobile Diesel Technician to join our team in the Redlands/Temecula areas. This position is full-time and mobile/on-site with guaranteed hours, traveling to customer locations to diagnose, maintain, and repair diesel-powered vehicles and equipment.

We provide tools and a fully equipped service truck so you can focus on safe, efficient repairs. Responsibilities include diagnostics, brake and transmission work, and wiring troubleshooting while maintaining

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a diesel technician.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with diagnostics.
• Familiarity with OEM specifications, including Caterpillar.
• Proficient in hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
• Ability to lift heavy equipment during repairs.
• Knowledge of assembly processes for mechanical components.
• Strong electrical experience in wiring troubleshooting.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on diesel engines, including diagnostics and troubleshooting.
• Perform vehicle maintenance and repairs, including brake repair, transmission work, alignment, and suspension adjustments.
• Use hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to complete repair and fabrication work.
• Read and interpret schematics for electrical systems and hydraulic components.
• Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding their vehicle needs.
• Maintain accurate records of repairs and services performed. Operate heavy equipment as necessary for testing or repair purposes.
• Troubleshoot wiring and electrical issues.
