Job summary

A leading company in onsite truck and trailer maintenance is seeking mobile technicians to join their team in Boston. Technicians will perform repairs, oversee maintenance, and ensure compliance with DOT inspections. Candidates should have a minimum of 3 years of diesel repair experience and strong communication skills, with a competitive hourly pay between $29 and $36 based on experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of diesel repair experience preferred.
• Valid Driver’s License required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods (1-2 hours).

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs and inspections on Class 6-8 trucks and trailers.
• Schedule and oversee maintenance procedures including DOT inspections.
• Open and close repair orders on a company-issued device.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Perform repairs and inspections on a variety of Class 6-8 trucks and trailers, such as brakes, diagnostics, A/C systems, electrical systems, engine components, exhaust systems, after-treatment systems, lift-gates, tires, etc.
• Schedule and overlook all maintenance procedures, including preventive maintenance and DOT inspections.
• Repair/Replace vehicle/ trailer components.
• Open and Close repair orders on a company-issued device.
• Obtain parts from local vendors and manage inventory on the service truck.
• Accurately complete DOT forms and all other forms of documentation in a timely fashion.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 years of diesel repair experience preferred.
• Communication skills
• Ability to work extended and/or irregular hours including weekends and holidays whenneeded.
• Valid Driver’s License required.
• Self-motivated with excellent organization and planning skills
• Ability to utilize a computer/tablet for electronic processing of work orders which includes adding labor hoursand updating work orderstatuses.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Must be able to bend, stoop or crawl.
• Must beable to stand for long periods of time (1-2 hours)
• 2-years' experiencein performing annual federal inspections and brake inspections.
• Salary $29-$36/hr. Salary depends on experience.
