The Mobile Service Technician is responsible for maintaining the fleet for clients and handling service calls at client locations. Responsibilities include providing excellent customer service, cleaning, maintenance, visual inspections, parts removal, installation using manuals, report writing, disassembly, assembly, parts reconditioning, and evaluation.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain all equipment according to company standards.
- Perform basic truck maintenance, including fueling, oil checks, cleaning, and inspections.
- Manage inventory for service trucks and ensure proper stock levels.
- Report to the Service Manager and perform assigned duties daily.
- Be available for after-hours service calls and flexible scheduling.
- Maintain and inventory tools for diesel engine truck maintenance.
- Read job orders and diagnose vehicle malfunctions using diagnostic equipment and technical information.
- Remove and replace parts such as injectors, pistons, cam shafts, bearings, transmissions, and more.
- Complete diagnostic and documentation tasks on the company computer system.
- Ensure safety by inspecting guards and bolts, and adjust as needed.
- Lubricate moving parts and verify repairs.
- Perform preventative maintenance and document work accurately.
- Respond to customer inquiries and foster positive relations.
- Advise customers on future repairs or services.
- Participate in training and apply learned skills.

Basic Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED.
- 7 years' experience as a Class 7 & 8 technician in a dealership or related facility.
- Valid CDL and Medical card as per FMVSS requirements.
- Mechanical aptitude and technical skills.
- Valid driver license with insurability according to company guidelines.
