Rush Truck Centers in Indianapolis, IN is seeking an Experienced Mobile Diesel Technician to support our customers with on-site service for trucks and equipment, maintaining fleets and handling service calls at client locations. You will work with a team of tenured technicians to provide expedited diesel expertise directly to customer fleets.

Qualifications

• 5 years of experience as a Class 7 & 8 technician in a dealership or related truck service facility.
• Current CDL preferred but not required.
• Medical card as required by FMCSA.
• Mechanical aptitude and technical ability.
• Peterbilt, International, Ford, Hino, Isuzu, Cummins, & ASE certifications are preferred & rewarded.

Responsibilities

• Maintain all aspects of equipment according to company standards.
• Handle basic maintenance of the truck including fueling, oil checks, cleanliness, and inspections.
• Manage inventory on the service truck and for the vehicle.
• Report to the Service Manager and be assigned daily duties.
• Maintain availability for after-hours service calls and open work schedule.
• Maintain and inventory tools for diesel maintenance.
• Read work orders and plan procedures.
• Use diagnostic equipment to identify malfunctions and perform repairs.
• Diagnose and replace components (injectors, pistons, bearings, brakes, transmissions, etc.).
• Document work performed in company systems and ensure safety checks.
