Job summary

Koch Trucking is seeking a Mobile Technician II in Houston, TX. This intermediate role requires 2–3 years of diesel mechanic or similar experience and involves diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on tractors and trailers, with on-site service at customer and company sites.

The position offers a schedule Monday–Friday 6:00 AM–2:30 PM, travel to various sites, adherence to DOT standards, and a $7,500 hiring bonus. Starting pay ranges from $29.71–$41.59 per hour.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2 years of experience in tractor and trailer maintenance.
• Ability to independently complete advanced repairs.
• Preferred 3+ years in advanced diagnostics and repairs.

Responsibilities

• Perform intermediate diagnostics and repairs on tractors and trailers.
• Maintain compliance with DOT standards and safety policies.
• Replace components in electrical, braking, and suspension systems.
• Weld minor steel and aluminum as needed for field repairs.
• Document maintenance and test drive to verify repairs.
